OSCE foreign ministers are meeting in Corfu on June 27-28 for an informal meeting. The Polish delegation is led by Minister Radosław Sikorski. The participants will discuss the future of European security, the threats and challenges it faces, and the role of the OSCE.

        On June 26-27 Minister Radosław Sikorski is attending an extended meeting of G8 foreign ministers in Trieste, devoted to Afghanistan and the Regional Dimension (“The International Community Support to the Regional Dimension – Promoting Regional Integrated Approach to Peace and Security through Economic and Social Development”).

        On May 29 Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski will give a press conference at the MFA devoted to Polish development assistance in 2009. The event will be attended by the coordinators of selected  projects implemented around the world. After the conference, the coordinators will be available for interviews.

        A three-day meeting of the Regional Group of Operational Experts of the Kraków Initiative (PSI) ended in Sopot on 24 June 2009. It was attended by over 150 participants from 38 European countries, the main non-European participants, as well as the European Union and NATO.

        On 24-26 June 2009, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, will visit the Kingdom of Morocco. Minister Sikorski will meet the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Taieb Fassi Fihri, to discuss bilateral cooperation, the European Union, and the situation in the Middle East.

        Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski  met in Warsaw with visiting British Secretary of State for Commonwealth and Foreign Affairs David Miliband. The talks focused on bilateral relations. Other items on the agenda included Eastern policy, security policy and economic issues.

        On June 21 the stadium of the Military University of Technology (WAT) in Warsaw was the venue of a  picnic for diplomats and their families. The event, organized by Diplomatic Protocol of the MFA, was attended by over 1500 persons, including MFA staff and representatives of more than 30 diplomatic missions.

        On June 17 2009 the foreign ministers of Poland and Germany, Radosław Sikorski and Frank-Walter Steinmeier,  paid a working visit to Kiev.

        The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, today leads the Polish delegation at a meeting of the EU General Affairs and External Relations Council (GAERC) in Luxembourg.

        The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Ireland, Micheál Martin, visited Poland at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, on June 12 2009.

        On June 8 2009 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched a new online service called Diplomacy XXI.  It provides persons interested in foreign service careers  with comprehensive information on rules of recruitment for diplomatic-consular training and employment at the MFA.

        The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, visited Finland on June 8 2009, for meetings with the Finnish  Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Stubb, and Speaker of Parliament Sauli Niinistö.

        June 3 2009 marks the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Sweden.  Sweden was among  the first states with which independent Poland wanted to regulate its relations.

        On May 31 Poland, the United States and other partner nations mark the sixth anniversary of the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI).
