    On Monday, MFA head Witold Waszczykowski will attend a Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels.The main topics on the agenda will be the implementation of the EU Global Strategy, the situation in Libya and on the Korean Peninsula, and migrations.

    “During the meeting, EU foreign ministers will discuss key areas of continued implementation of the EU Global Strategy, including ways to strengthen the resilience of EU neighbours and the promotion of global order based on international law. The discussion will also concern the EU’s involvement in the stabilisation of the political and security situation in Libya,” stressed the MFA Press Office. 


    As noted by the ministry, another subject to be discussed will the developments on the Korean Peninsula, including the nuclear and missile programme of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which poses a serious threat to the region’s security and stability.


    The MFA Press Office added that the ministers will also discuss the subject of migration during a lunch with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, and Director General of the International Organisation for Migration, William Lacy Swing.


    During his Brussels visit, the MFA head plans to inform the EU foreign ministers about the course and results of the Three Seas Initiative summit held in Warsaw on 6 July, which was attended by 12 EU Member States and US President Donald Trump.
